Not quite a lawn Dart

My build of the 1/48 scale Revell F-106 Delta Dart. It was the last pure intercepter ordered for the USAF. Designed to scramble and intercept Russian strategic bombers at Mach 2+, the Delta Dart carried it's missiles in an internal bay, and could carry one nuclear tipped missile to take out a mess of bombers. The F-106 was initially intended as an upgrade to the F-102 Delta Dagger but had so many improvements, it got a new designation. It was never used in combat and never sold to foreign nations.

This kit is a reissue of the monogram F-106. It's a big bird once done, but needs lots of TLC to make it look nice. Just after finishing, I dropped it and had to do a lot of repair work to make it look presentable. Glad I didn't trash it!
